Greenfields Garden Services was established in 1988 by Chris Snell, comprising of one push along mower, a few hand tools and a small van. Over the years the company expanded and in 1998 became a limited company with a turnover of circa £3million. However, this has not changed the ethos of the company which is still run with a ‘hands on’ approach by Chris Snell owner/managing director.

Greenfields has gained accreditation from CHAS, Exor, Constructionline, SAFEcontractor and British Association of Landscape Gardeners.

The company is organised into the following five departments, each having its own management team yet all remaining closely co-ordinated.

Play Areas and School Works
Our play areas and school works department deals with repairs, reports, new build, design and advice. Chris Snell can come along and help with suggestions and ideas for the most appropriate layout to suit your needs.

Our landscape department is run by Chris Woolham. Chris has teams of skilled landscapers and deals with building contractors, architects, local councils, designers, housing associations and the public. His expertise covers everything from small private gardens to large country mansions. Find out more here

Tree Surgery
Our tree department consists of a team of highly experienced professionals. The tree surgeons can provide insurance reports and surveys as well as caring for the trees themselves. The team have an excellent knowledge on all aspects of tree works. Past and current contracts include projects with councils, large companies, parish councils, schools, the local diocese, housing associations, insurance companies and private clients. Fencing
Greenfields fencing department is run by Rob Pope. His team are involved in a large range of types of fencing with a varied client base. They regularly work with local councils, housing associations, building contractors, large companies, local government, private customers and the MOD. The teams’ fencing skills range from small timber fencing to high security steel palisade. Find out more here

Grounds Maintenance
Our grounds maintenance department is run by Ken Davies and his teams. They work with large companies looking after their grounds, mowing, pruning, strimming, hand weeding, chemical weeding and maintaining general appearance. They also work with housing associations, councils, house developers and private clients. Find out more here
