Hello my name is Ian Barker, I have been a Gas and Boiler engineer for over 40 years. Please take a minute to read my listing below.
I joined British Gas in 1974 as an apprentice, I qualified as an engineer and as one of the first British Gas trained boiler engineers. I went on to become the area technician for the Westminster area (central London) at British Gas with a very high profile clientele. I started the first British Gas heating team and trained their installation teams on design and installation. After a number of years I moved onto the emergency services team and was the area emergency technician dealing with gas escapes, evacuating people from properties full of gas and gas explosions within central London.
I started Gas Appliance Services in 1987 and I work on every type of domestic Gas installation including LPG fired appliances including:
Boilers, Water heaters, Gas fire's, Cookers, Range cookers. I install Natural gas and LPG gas systems. Boiler exchanges and system updates including control systems is the backbone of my business. I am a NEST Pro installer, Glow Worm club energy trained installer and a Vaillant approved installer but install and repair ALL boilers.
I both power flush and Magnacleanse heating systems as required to regain efficiency.
I install underfloor heating systems including shallow overlay systems.

I am Gas Safe Registered reg No 223455 and insured with AXA.
I also install Bathrooms, Wet rooms and Kitchens including tiling to floors and walls.

My enthuses is on safety and I pride myself on my work standards, I ensure that all work carried out is to the highest standards and complies fully with Gas Safe regulations.
