Business info

Thanks for taking an interest in Dip Electrical Contractors. The business is run by me, Dipak. For the past 20 years, I’ve been a fully qualified electrician, serving residential, commercial and industrial customers. To this day I still attend collage or private courses to acheive a better knowledge of the electrical engineering and the industry.

It was my father who sparked my interest in becoming an electrician. He was already a time-served electrician. he taught me many things about the electrical installation. During my school holidays, I’d help him on all sorts of jobs, from finding electrical faults to rewiring houses. And now my father has retired its time to keep the family tradition going.

Aged 19 I enrolled at Tameside College on a five year electrical installations course, which led to an apprenticeship with a local company.

Having served my time as an apprentice, I worked for several other firms before deciding to become a self-employed electrician.

Although based in Ashton-under-Lyne, I ply my trade all across Greater Manchester.

I have a Level 1 & 2 NVQs in electrical installations and have passed exams for the 16th/17th Editions and 17th Edition Plus of the IEE Wiring Regulations.
Currently registered with the NICEIC BOARD member.
